Dating has become
a guessing game.
You’re intentional, you’re struggling, and you’re done playing the guessing game.
There's another way…
You don’t leave your
health and your career
to chance…
why do that with
love?
Same Patterns,
Different Person
You’re noticing a pattern in the people you date. You hope the next one is going to be different and yet you’re left with the same outcome. No relationship, and experiences of emotionally unavailable and avoidant people. After a while you’re left questioning whether or not you are the actual problem.
Exhausting
at this point
Dating feels like a second job. Not only does it feel like you have to stay on top of your dating app inbox like you do your own work email, the entire process is exhausting. You’re tired of the same intro messages on the apps to see if it even leads to a date. You’re tired of putting in effort that is not reciprocated. You’re tired of waiting and wondering when your ideal relationship will finally happen. Let’s be honest, you just feel tired of going on what feels like never ending first dates.
Tired of not having
your consistent plus 1
It feels like as time goes on, there are fewer people in your circle who are single. You’ve noticed that social events have shifted as others begin to partner up, marry, and have kids. You have to give yourself a pep talk before family gatherings, holidays, and weddings to prepare yourself for the questions you’ll receive asking about your dating life. After awhile, it's hard to not internalize the questions and your singleness.
YOU’RE NOT THE
PROBLEM,
YOUR APPROACH IS.
Does this cycle
feel familiar?
The apps are giving you ample options, and yet, not only are they not the right options, the cycle is:
destroying your peace
This cycle is anything but peaceful. Whether it is the feelings of who is going to ghost, who is going to look like their profile, or when their true emotional availability and capacity appears.. Dating today pulls your nervous system further from grounded, not closer.
KEEPING YOU FROM
THE RIGHT PARTNERSHIP
Someone who is finally on the same page as you. Someone who not only also wants to do life with you but wants to build a life with you. Someone who wants to be there to support you in your goals and ambitions just as much as you support them.
siphoning your time
Dating apps have turned into a second job. Time spent swiping left in hopes of just one right swipe. Continuously following up with messages in a timely manner and if not, your match is already gone. First date after first date wondering when you’ll have one that actually leads to a second. Not to mention the time your mind spends simply thinking about your current dating life.
Matchmaking helps give time back to you. The time you would have spent on swiping or fixating on dating gets to go back into what really fills your cup.
hi, i’m madden
Lead Matchmaker of Date Differently
My journey into the matchmaking began before I decided to support people on their own dating journey. Breadcrumbing, deceitful, untruthful, and numerous options opened my eyes to what a lot of people experience…
… and it got me thinking…
This led to the beginning of my podcast We’re Dating the Same Guy. And even after talking with experts all over the country and hosting a space for people to learn about dating from all different angles, and supporting people 1:1 in their own dating patterns and journey,
I wanted more skin in the game alongside my clients.
I saw client after client do the hard, intentional work on their dating life — and still run into the same bad experiences.
Still getting ghosted.
Still matching with people who were emotionally unavailable.
Still exhausting their use of all the dating apps.
It was time to do more to help clients realize there are genuine, authentic people out there — it just sometimes takes a little help finding them and making the connection.
Now — I'm NOT an agency. If you Google "matchmaker Minneapolis" you'll find national franchises with dozens of locations, rotating staff, and no real clarity on who you're actually working with once you sign on. You become a file in a shared system.
At Date Differently Matchmaking, you don’t just date differently,
I matchmake differently.
Not a team, not a rotating matchmaker. Your journey starts with me at your initial consultation and runs through every single date and debrief. My client load is small and selective on purpose — everyone in my network works with me, directly. Instead of being one of hundreds of profiles in a franchise system, you're someone I know without having to check notes.
HOW I OPERATE
It’s a process I’ve refined one client at a time.
Every client begins with 6 weeks of consulting. And before you say,
“But Madden, I’m here for matchmaking and I want to date!”
I hear you, and I completely understand. But this stage is crucial.
If we simply start with an intake form and I go scout and recruit for you, I’m no different from a dating app.
These 6 weeks let me get to know you better, and they’re built for you to get to know yourself even better, so you’re truly prepared to date with your goals in mind.
From there, the matchmaking begins. I spend hours every single week
networking at events
deep-diving social media
and scrolling up, down, and sideways through LinkedIn.
If you’ve ever creeped on a date before meeting them, I GAURANTEE I’m researching them in all different ways before I ever get on a phone call to connect.
As I recruit, I present the potential matches I believe have real compatibility with you, and it’s always your choice whether to move forward with a date.
When you do, everything is planned and scheduled for you. All you have to do is show up. We connect beforehand so you feel your best and can ask any last-minute questions, then we get together afterward to debrief.
Every round, the process gets sharper as we move closer to your ideal connection.
Privacy
is always TOP OF MIND
What happens here stays between us. There's no profile sitting in a public feed, no algorithm cataloguing your preferences, nothing for you to manage or maintain.
real training,
not just enthusiasm
A master's in mental health, ethics and law, and psychology, and life coaching certifications in NLP, hypnotherapy, EFT, and other somatic modalities shape how I actually work with clients — not just how I market to them.
the matchmaker
for the Twin Cities
I'm from the Twin Cities and I still live here — I've built relationships and connections across the cities in multiple networks, and I know the Twin Cities dating pool like the back of my hand. I've been in it, and I'm actively working to make an impact on it myself.
ASKING FOR A FRIEND…
-
The goal is to find people who are compatible; however, you can’t force connection. The goal of matchmaking is to find quality matches, not quantity. If you want quantity, the apps are still available.
-
It’s common to feel frustrated with dating and skip straight to matchmaking, I get it. However, it is crucial that I get to know you and what you’re looking for first. That’s is what this phase is for, and it’s exactly what helps me find better matches later on.
-
I use a mix of in-network and out-of-network matchmaking. My Inner Circle is a curated group of people who've chosen to be part of my network as potential matches for clients. Alongside that, I'm actively recruiting and scouting in the real world — meeting new people every week who could be a fit.
-
I won't force an introduction just to fill a slot — that's exactly the kind of mismatch this whole process exists to avoid. If the right person isn't in my network yet, I keep looking, and I'm continually growing that network through my own outreach and referral relationships across the Twin Cities. You'll always know where things stand — I won't leave you guessing.
-
Dating apps feel free, but they're not — they cost you time, energy, and a lot of hope on dead ends. What this actually costs depends on where you're starting and which path fits you, which is exactly what we'll talk through on your consultation. I operate under the belief that modern dating is causing a lot of stress to your nervous system, so, we create a payment plan that feels grounded to your nervous system.
-
This process is built to give you time back, not take more of it. You're not the one swiping, screening, or sorting through strangers anymore — I am. Your part is showing up for a consultation, prepping and debriefing around actual dates, and most importantly, your dates. That's it. If you feel as though you don’t have time for this process it may be a good reflection to ask yourself whether you have time for dating at all and if no, that is okay, then maybe a pause all together is more beneficial for you and those who are genuinely ready to find their partner. — time getting back
There are
two types
of people when it comes
to dating.
I meet with singles every single week to dissect their dating lives, and I see the same split every time.
The first group decides dating is a top priority and uses the resources available to make it happen. The second group feels defeated, but keeps doing exactly what they’ve been doing and keeps getting exactly what they’ve been getting.
Here’s the thing: staying the course doesn’t just keep your results the same, it keeps your beliefs about dating stuck in the same place too. Choosing differently does the opposite. It raises your odds, restores hope, and gives you the chance to finally exhale with someone in your corner who knows exactly who you’re looking for.
On your consult call, we’ll dig into:
The patterns that have been showing up for you and a plan to move forward
Questions you have about matchmaking and what it would look like for you
I keep my client load selective on purpose. I don’t work with everyone… In a dating pool where it can feel like you’re just an option, every client I work with deserves to feel like a priority. For that reason, I solely work on an application basis.
